Through 'One' - Today's Verse

'just as sin entered the world through one man' Romans 5:12 'disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners'  'obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous' Romans 5:19 Most of the times, we are used to put the blunder on the others and make them responsible for the situation. We also end up justifying an action saying that we did it for someone else's sake. Or even sometimes we declare that we did for our own sake. But when shall we acknowledge that for what sake we should be doing a thing? How do we ever categorize our evey act and thought of ours? For the sake of what did we think or act in one way or the other? This would tell us who we are and for what sake we live on this earth. Though there could be thousand reasons saying, "I did this for the sake of...." . Let us also try to validate that if its really worth it.  God, Jesus has appointed us here on this earth for a purpose. If we simply state that we did a...

To Obey - Today's Verse

‘If you love me, keep my commandments’ John 14:15 The toughest thing in any person’s life is to obey another person. Especially if it is our parents, teachers, managers, brothers, sisters we find it extremely difficult. To Obey Falsely To the law which governs us and to the one who is policing us we yield ourselves with all sincerity. But deep inside our heart we would still want to do those mistakes. This is a false way of obeying things and there is no real benefit out of this. No one will be interested in our behavior, which conceals our true self and obeying the other person falsely. If our friend does it to us, then we know the real pain involved in it. He (or) she might do all the things you tell but actually they are not interested in your rather they don’t want to hurt your feelings. One with a pleasing Heart If someone wants to please another person, they are already doing what the other person is going to like. They don’t f...

Jesus - City of Refuge (Joshua 20: 1-9) - Today's Verse

City of Refuge is an ultimate plan devised by God to punish the real deceiver of human kind. Six cities were identified as Cities of Refuge where a person who did a mistake can flee into. The roads for these cities were made to be easily accessible and guarded with great security.  We do wonder how a person who has done an injustice, though in an accident manner can be pardoned. The truth is that there is nothing like a mistake done intentionally and unintentionally . A mistake is an evil born out of our carelessness. How can one be careless about his fellow brethren even unintentionally? The Truth is that God wants us to hold responsibility regarding our fellow brethren. This day let us also identify the true accuser of the brethren. It is not our fellow brethren, but the real ‘Accuser’ who initiates evil thoughts in us.  He is given different names, the devil, Satan, the Lucifer, the Fallen Angel, the Father of Lies, etc. The law h...

Wilderness - An Opportunity to Know God - Today's Verse

A time of solitude defines us better and also teaches better things to us. When our life is encompassed with pain, suffering and loneliness we end up with questions of our existence on this earth. Suddenly, our mind starts to think about the person who brought us in to this world. We approach everybody for an answer. To our surprise we discover that each one gives a different answer according to their experience. It is like when we ask for suggestions to buy a car, bike or a dress our friends share their opinion about a best buy available. But how about the question of life and how serious are we about the journey we have taken. When we are left alone Yes, that is the time we actually come to know a lot of things. The moment when the world forsakes us, the family and our loved ones also forsake us, we scream out loud for help. When the whole hope for our life is shattered in to pieces, what shall we do? Why do we live? How do we live? For whom do we live? Imagine how hard it i...

Today's Verse - Parable of Talents

It is good that we all have come together in the Name of the Lord, with great desire to build the House of the Lord at our workplaces. We are saved and have been blessed by God with a good job, family and lifestyle. But, where do we head from here and what is our real destiny is our question for this day.  I would like to highlight on the parable of talents. As it says in Mathew 25:18, 'But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money..' . Here we see a person who is putting the talent under the ground to keep it safe and return back when the Master comes.  I wouldn't say his intention was wrong because, he was more bothered about returning back the talent without fail. The Master had entrusted his property to this servant who feared Him and held high respects for Him. But, to our surprise when the master returned back, he started settling accounts with each one of them who has been entrusted with a sum of t...

Quiet Time with the Lord - Today's Verse

If the Lord works in our life then He gets glorified. If we work, then we take the glory and end up not giving any glory to the Lord. Toughest thing in a  person's life is to keep quiet. Sometimes we are blessed with such tranquility, when we embrace the  truth that nothing is possible by us. Our brain never gives up and seeks continuously for help from its  last left source of encouragement. Until we have good health, wealth and the whole world besides us we are actually reluctant to look at  the source, the Creator of Universe. We always have an idea or a thought triggered in our mind saying  that something or the other is really possible by us. We know too much or too little doesn't matter but  we want to speak without reasoning. World also wants to keep us busy – ‘ Business ’. While in contrary,  the Lord wants you to ‘ Rest ’. Until we don't become still and listen, nobody can make use of us, be it  either the world or the Lord.  F...

Walking Closer with God - Today's Verse

There are many moments where we share a closer walk with our loved ones. We walk hand in hand with them and share our thoughts. We know them completely, but we also make sure that we don't take them for granted. We hold their hands, listen to all that they say and spend so much of our life time with them. This is just because we love them and it is possible only when we love them. Each day we get more personal in knowing about the other person and slowly without our knowledge we would have started to walk their way. Well, that is what love does, when two join hands they become one and only one survives. That is true love.  Now, let us analyze the walk we have with God. The time which we share with him and how much we listen to him matters a lot. When we do the most of the talking then we would end up not listening to what the Lord wants to say, proving that we are still concerned about our own self. Based on the amount of listening the transformation will happen. The one who li...
