A Fasting Acknowledged by God - Today's Verse

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter, when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Isaiah 58:7

One tries to stay away from food and water in order to have a prayerful connection with the Lord. It is a way to please the Lord and to direct our thoughts to prayer. By fasting demons are cast out from our life and it is also a symbol of seeking God diligently.

But here in this passage of Isaiah 58:7 God says that he is not pleased with this kind of fasting. God says that you have your money in your pocket and the strength in your body kept safe and you fast. After the fasting period you again return to your good old ways. Also, the prayer points for which we fast are also for our own selfish desire, which brings injustice and ties cords of yoke to our fellow being and depresses them.

Instead of you practicing a false stay away from food, God wants you to share the money which you have with your fellow ones who are needy and oppressed. God wants you to open your house for all those who are chained in slavery and give them freedom and deliverance. All pain and loss which is incurred from this sharing of food & shelter is the real fasting, says the Lord. God is well pleased with this pattern of Fasting.

Now the pain which is come to your body is by sharing your own food with the needy ones and your living place with the houseless ones. Even here you become hungry, but God recognizes this Fasting greater when compared to one refraining from food and water in his abundance, without any thought for his own flesh and blood.

With an unwilling heart to share food and shelter for your brothers and sisters, if you try to fast in the presence of God, then He is not interested in this fasting. How can you put a deaf ear to your brethren and fast with a holy heart in the presence of the Lord? He wants you to be given like Him on the cross for everyone.

"Line of Code" in Programming is equal to every word we speak in real life.

Team of people join together in bringing a software application to life. It could be 5 people, 50 or even 500 people at work for the Software application. Each one contributes their "Line of Code" to the application. The quality of life for the Software application depends on each one of those who have worked in the project. If any one person gives a wrong instruction then the application throws an error/exception and will halt the application. Let us relate the same to our life. Even every single word which we speak will create an impact to the whole society. Our thoughts, actions and words leaves an impression in this world. May be the system is not going to halt today, but someday or the other, definitely it will. In case of a software application, your "Line of Code" is thoroughly scrutinized before it could be injected to the system. Wherein, in the world we are let to say whatever we want, but when the impact is big only then we are punished by our legal ...

Road Life Principle – Part III

One way or the other, things get delayed in reaching us. Our complaint in life is that Nothing happens on time, especially when we are waiting for it. “Traffic Jam” is the key word. Everybody is waiting on the road, but for how long. We need to go to Home, Office, see friends, etc., we have so many other things to do. All of a sudden if my vehicle has to stop because of a traffic jam, I could not bear it. It could be an accident, somebody is trying to learn to ride a vehicle, an animal moving in the center of the road, etc. If it is my vehicle which has met the accident then the case is different. I don’t give it much of thought, but point to be understood is when we were in the accident and learning phase others too had to go through the tough time of waiting and getting delayed in their journey. If we understand that it had a valid reason for us to wait for sometime in this journey of life, things become interesting. If something is getting delayed in our life  it has got ...
